Rock bands Good Charlotte and Winnebago Deal have declared war on each other after clashing at an awards ceremony last month (21AUG03).

Good Charlotte's Benji and Joel Madden confronted Winnebago Deal's BEN PERRIER and BEN THOMAS over Perrier giving his band 'the finger' when they collected the Best Single trophy at the Kerrang! AWARDS in London.

Angry Perrier defends, himself saying, "I hate Good Charlotte, They sum up all that is wrong with punk rock music. We were having a drink after the ceremony and Benji came up to us and said, 'You flipped us off, I know who you are.'

"He then got his manager to come over and say, 'Don't f*** with the big boys or we'll make your life difficult.' It was like being in a fight at school."

The two noisy outfits bumped into each other again at the Reading Festival the next day (22AUG03), and some name calling came into play.

Perrier continues, "Joel and Benji approached Ben backstage and started calling him a p***y. It got quite angry and there was some shoving, but then security came over and threw Ben out. We saw Good Charlotte's tour bus leave after that."

Not wanting to let the matter lie, the irate guitarist concludes, "F*** you, Good Charlotte. It's been great to have the opportunity to tell them just how s*** they are. It could get violent if we meet again."
