Mark Wahlberg doesn't ''give a f**k'' about his appearance.

The 42-year-old actor - who has kids Ella, 10, Michael, eight, Brendan, five, and Grace, four, with wife Rhea Durham - isn't worried about impressing anyone and tries not to pay too much attention to his looks.

He told GQ magazine: ''I'm 42 years old, I haven't looked in a mirror in 10 years. I don't give a f**k how I look.

''If I have to prepare for a part physically, I will but I've got nothing to prove. I'm not trying to impress anybody.''

The 'Pain & Gain' star also admitted that years of gruelling action roles have taken their toll on his body.

He said: ''I'm 42 going on 75.

''[My hand was injured boxing once], whenever I do the dishes or catch it on the side of my trousers, it flares up.''

Mark plays a single father to Nicole Peltz' character in new movie 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' and thinks the role marks a shift in the kind of parts he will soon be offered now he is getting older.

He said: ''If Hollywood had its way, normally, in a movie like this, Nicole would play my girlfriend.

''But I wanted to embrace the idea of playing older, of playing what will be my reality in the very near future.''
