GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose made a rare US radio appearance on Saturday (06MAY06) to promise fans the group's long-awaited CHINESE DEMOCRACY album will be released at the end of 2006. The album's release has been stalled several times by the NOVEMBER RAIN singer in the past three years, but now he insists the project is ready to go public. Rose joined rocker-turned-DJ SEBASTIAN BACH on radio host EDDIE TRUNK's syndicated show when the former Skid Row frontman called the Guns N' Roses star on his cell phone during the broadcast. During the unplanned chat, Rose could be hearing playing new tracks in the background. He said, "It (album) will be out this year." Trunk then invited reclusive Rose to join him and Bach in the studio, which the rocker agreed to do, showing up an hour later to talk further. But Rose played it coy when it came to talking about past comeback tour disasters and the line-up of the new-look Guns N'Roses, although he hinted that former guitarist IZZY STRADLIN may appear onstage at upcoming concerts.
