Movie star Guy Pearce has followed fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman's example and donned a fake nose for his latest role as a jailed bank robber.
The MEMENTO star feared his thin face wasn't full enough to play a criminal in THE HARD WORD, so he worked with make-up experts to give him a new look.
He says, "I wanted the character to look like he had this real weight on his shoulders. I'm generally quite light and lithe, and so I kind of thought of that if I pulled my jaw forward and I had more of a thing going on in my forehead I'd look the part.
"Then it just seemed like the next natural thing to do was try and kind of put some weight on my nose as well. When I looked in the mirror I felt like I was seeing a completely different person.
"I liked the look. Nicole Kidman and I could work together and do clashing noses."
