Gwyneth Paltrow's baby daughter Apple has uttered her first words - and her mother's attempts to teach her Spanish have paid off.

The one-year-old's first words included "agua" (Spanish for water), "hummy" - a reference to hummus - and "chop chop", which is how the baby refers to the helicopters she frequently travels in.

The Shakespeare In Love actress says, "I speak to her in Spanish sometimes because I want her to learn."
