Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and rap mogul Russell Simmons have been feted at a New York yoga benefit for raising awareness about the benefits of the exercise.
Both stars are longtime advocates of the relaxing and stress-relieving activity and they were special guests at the third annual Bent on Learning Benefit on Wednesday (15Jun11).
The Shakespeare In Love beauty was hailed for her contributions to the yoga community, while Simmons was celebrated for helping to introduce yoga in public schools as part of one of the Bent on Learning organisation's ongoing campaigns.
The gala, held at the Urban Zen Center, was also attended by designer Donna Karan and newly-engaged actress Molly Sims.
