A representative for Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed the actress is still searching for the perfect deal to launch herself as a singer after talks with Atlantic Records reportedly broke down.
The Oscar-winner has been taking steps into music recently, playing a washed-up singer in movie Country Strong and appearing in TV musical Glee. She has even performed live at events including the recent Academy Awards and the Grammys, fuelling rumours she is poised to sign a major recording contract.
A new report suggests negotiations with executives at Atlantic Records fizzled out following a disagreement over money, but Paltrow's spokesperson is adamant the actress is still "considering" signing a deal.
The rep tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Atlantic was not the only company pursuing her, and she still has not decided if she wants to record an album... (it) is still something she is considering."
