Gwyneth Paltrow's pregnancy news has left film-maker John Madden with mixed feelings - because he fears she'll take more time off, and he's desperate to work with her again.

Paltrow's mother Blythe Danner reportedly recently let slip that the actress and her husband Chris Martin are expecting a sibling for their 16-month-old daughter, Apple.

And while Madden, who directed Paltrow in PROOF and Shakespeare In Love, is happy to learn of the news, he admits he's far from thrilled that he'll have to wait even longer to collaborate with her again.

He says, "It's great! But I suppose it means she'll be taking some time out, and I'll have to wait before I'll be able to direct her again."
