Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 premiered its latest trailer on Thursday (16th June 2011), just a month before the final movie in the franchise hits cinemas. The action-packed trailer opens with Harry's mother telling her infant son, "Harry, be safe. Be strong". A voiceover by Harry's nemesis Lord Voldemort then kicks in over flashback scenes of key moments in the previous films.
Later in the clip, Voldemort is heard sneering, "Harry Potter, you have fought valiantly. Now join me, and confront your fate", before Harry, Ron and Hermione are seen riding a dragon and continuing their quest for the final horcruxes. Elsewhere, Potter fans are treated to preview shots of an epic battle at Hogwarts while the Dark Lord's army begin to assemble outside the school gates. The final seconds of the trailer feature the fight between Harry and Voldemort, with the boy-wizard saying, "Come on, Tom, let's finish this the way we started. Together!", with the Dark Lord replying, "Only I can live forever". The final movie in the franchise sees Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reprise their roles as Harry, Ron and Hermione, while the supporting cast includes Maggie Smith, Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman.
The arrival of the 'Deathly Hallows' trailer comes shortly after author Jk Rowling launched a mysterious website called 'Pottermore.com'. The meaning of the new site is unclear, but a representative for the novelist has already confirmed it does not refer to a new book.
