A falconer who supplied birds of prey for the Harry Potter franchise is behind bars in the U.K. after pleading guilty to neglect.
Kenneth Lea was jailed for 12 weeks on 17 charges involving more than 51 specialist birds at his farm in Bradford, England.
The 50-year-old came to the attention of the courts after officials the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) were tipped off about the "filthy" conditions.
The birds, including owls, falcons and hawks were emaciated and plastered in blood and dirt.
Lea provided nine of the creatures for use in several scenes of 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
