Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has bemoaned the strict age limits on drinking alcohol in the U.S. - insisting the rules have put a dampener on his current stint in New York.
The British actor is living in the Big Apple while he stars in a Broadway production of Equus and was looking forward to sampling some of Manhattan's finest clubs and bars during his time in the city.
But the 19-year-old was - who can drink legally in his native U.K. - was disappointed to find that he can't get served alcohol in America - because he is under the legal drinking age of 21.
He tells the New York Daily News, "My first night in New York we all went out and I was like, 'Yeah let's do it!" And then I was like, 'The drinking age is what?'"
But Radcliffe insists that he will return to New York following his 21st birthday, so he can enjoy boozing in the town.
He adds, "It's okay - I'll be back in a few years."
