Harry Styles picked up the first award of the night at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

The trendsetting One Direction hunk beat the likes of Justin Timberlake, Lady GaGa, Rihanna and Rita Ora to take home the Best Look gong at the ceremony in Amsterdam, the Netherlands tonight (10.11.13), which was presented by singer Ellie Goulding and MTV presented Laura Whitmore.

The 20-year-old star couldn't be there to accept the award due to commitments with the boy band, however pre-show host, Louise Roe, said she would make sure it reaches Harry.

Harry has become known for his fashion prowess in recent months, despit not thinking of himself as a style icon.

He recently told Glamour magazine: ''It's strange to wear a T-shirt and two days later see a lot of other people wearing it. I don't really experiment with clothes, so it's always good to see other people do it.''

Fans have been clamoring to copy the 'Story Of My Life' hitmaker's style, which will be been made possible when he auctions off his leopard print Burberry shirt for charity this month.

The funky shirt, which Harry wore during London Fashion Week in September, goes on sale on November 13 to raise money for UNICEF.
