Harry Styles found it ''nerve-racking'' giving a speech at his mum's wedding.

The One Direction star stood by his mother Anne Cox's side as she wed long-term partner Robin Twist - who helped raise him from the age of seven - in June and while he's used to performing for millions of fans across the world, Harry admits he got stage fright when it came to speaking at the intimate ceremony.

He told The Sun newspaper: ''I did give a speech and I can honestly say it was the most nerve-racking thing I've ever done.

''I practised on my own for days beforehand, on the sofa reciting it to myself. I tried to make it have a bit of everything. When everyone thought it was going to be really emotional, I pulled the rug from under everyone's feet and injected a bit of humour. It seemed to go well.''

Tattoo-mad Harry, 19, also revealed that his mum rarely notices new additions to his impressive array of body art - unless it's on his hand.

He said: ''She was like, 'Oh what are you doing them on your hands for? What is it going to look like when you get married? No more on your hands please.' But if I ever get one that's for her, she's like, 'I quite like that one.' ''
