'Glee's Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Amber Riley and Harry Shum Jr. won't return as series regulars next season.

The quartet - who play Brittany, Puck, Mercedes and Mike respectively - may return as occasional guest stars but will no longer have major roles in the show, according to TV Line.

Dianna Agron (Quinn) is also set to leave the show, after the actress only appeared in a few episodes in season four.

Meanwhile, Chris Colfer - who stars as openly gay teenager Kurt Hummel in the hit musical - has no plans to leave the show in the near future and hopes there are more interesting storylines to come for Kurt.

He said: ''I'm definitely the youngest cast member so I'm hoping to have more time ahead. We'll see.''

Chris recently revealed he hopes his 'Glee' character will inspire children around the world.

He said: ''I think I'm very blessed to be able to play that role on the show because I know it has helped a lot of kids around the world. He's a character that means so much to people who relate to him and are inspired by him.''

However, despite his love of the hit show, Chris admits he does get embarrassed watching some of his all-singing, all-dancing routines on TV - particularly his impersonation of Beyonce's 'Single Ladies'.

He said: ''Oh no, I hate watching myself. I get so embarrassed! I try not to look at myself. I just think, 'Oh, what was I doing?' It's for a pay check, right?''
