LATEST: Puerto Rican rapper Hector 'EL FATHER' DELGADO and his brother JOEL are facing arrest on suspicion of attempted murder charges in relation to a shootout in San Juan on Saturday (09Feb08). A member of the reggaeton star's entourage was accused of biting a female fan who tried to approach Delgado for his autograph as he stopped at a service station in the city. The attack allegedly took place following an altercation with the fan's husband. Several gunshots were also reported to have been fired by someone in Delgado's group following the incident on Saturday. But local police investigating the case believe the Delgado siblings ordered the shooting - and are set to file a court motion for the arrest of the pair on attempted murder and arms violations. Juan Baez, the investigator working the case, tells Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día, "He (Hector) is the person who ordered them to shoot. When he said, 'Shoot him, he's getting cute,' the shootout began. He's the leader of the group, the main person. If he doesn't say anything, then nothing happens." And District Attorney José Aldebol has confirmed they are taking action to prosecute the Delgados, reports PeopleEnEspanol.com. He adds, "We're convinced that the evidence we have should have been enough to determine cause, and we're going to ask the court to look into it further." The rapper's four associates, identified as Llovet A. Quiñones, Christan Ayala García, Esteban Vargas Sanjurjo and Joan Ojeda Salinas, were all arrested for the fight on Saturday and have now been released on $4,000 (GBP2,000) bail each. They appeared in court on Monday (11Feb08) to undergo drug tests and have electric monitoring devices fitted.
