Dame Helen Mirren was once booted from a movie set by Al Pacino after she paid him a visit to watch him work.
The British actress' husband Taylor Hackford directed Pacino in 1997 movie The Devil's Advocate, and Mirren couldn't resist sneaking onto the shoot to see her idol.
However, The Godfather star wasn't happy to see her and asked Hackford to remove her from the set.
She tells the Sydney Morning Herald, "My husband told me to keep a low profile. But Al spotted me behind hundreds of people and then I saw him talk to my husband, and Taylor then came over and said, 'I'm sorry, Helen, I'm afraid you're going to have to leave the set.' It's a weird actor's thing where you don't like being looked at by your peers, so he didn't want me there!''
Mirren recently teamed up with Pacino to film a movie about shamed music mogul Phil Spector and she took the opportunity to remind him of the incident. She adds, "I told him, 'Al, this is one set you can't throw me off!'''
