Actress Helen Mirren wowed the Lithuanian extras on the set of her new historical epic ELIZABETH I with an impassioned speech of basketball glory. Director Tom Hooper had a tough time trying to get the extras on the Lithuania set riled up for enthusiastic crowd scenes because they had no idea what or who they were cheering about. And then Mirren, who plays the English monarch in the TV movie, came up with a novel idea: "They had no idea who QUEEN ELIZABETH was, so to get them cheering, I told them to imagine they were cheering the Lithuanian basketball team. "It worked, for there is no limit to the love a group of men will have for a sports team."
