'True Blood' star Lindsay Pulsipher will take over the lead role in 'Bonnie And Clyde', replacing Hilary Duff.
Lindsay Pulsipher is replacing Hilary Duff in the remake of 'Bonnie And Clyde'.
The 23-year-old actress had been due to play Bonnie Parker in indie movie 'The Story of Bonnie and Clyde' about the legendary fugitives but had to pull out due to her pregnancy so 'True Blood' star Lindsay - who had previously been cast as Bonnie's cousin Mary in the film - is taking her place.
Producer Tonya S Holly said: "We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Pulsipher as Bonnie Parker in 'The Story of Bonnie and Clyde'. Lindsay will undoubtedly bring many layers to this critical role. This is a gripping story about two of the most legendary fugitives in history."
Film bosses are still searching for a replacement Clyde after Kevin Zegers was dropped from the lead role due to "scheduling conflicts".
Tonya and producer Tom Rogers previously confirmed in a statement: " While production has been pushed several times due to financial, scheduling and other factors such as tornados devastating some of our locations, we are currently gearing up to star production later this year. Unfortunately we are now faced with scheduling conflicts with our leads Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers.
"We were told that Duff would not be available Until June 2012 and that Zegers would not be available until January of the new year. Due to our obligations with investors and international buyers it is imperative that we stick to our current schedule. Therefore we are forced to explore other options for the two lead roles. Unfortunately this happens all the time in the world of filmmaking."
Filming will take place in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Missouri with production set to begin later this year.
