Hillary Scott - Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott Marries Drummer Tyrell
Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott married drummer Chris Tyrrell in Upstate New York on Saturday (Janaury 7, 2012). The musical couple tied the knot in front of close family and friends, according to People Magazine.
Chris popped the question in East Tennessee last Fourth of July weekend, according to a video post by Scott on the Lady Antebellum official website. Speaking of the nuptials, the singer, 25, said, "We got married! We just wanted you to hear it from us first. We love you. We're so excited to be starting our life together and we just had to let you in on the exciting news". The video post also gives fans a glimpse of Hillary in her elegant custom-made Vera Wang strapless dress, complete with pearl beading and applied crystals. Tyrrell opted for a traditional grey suit by Ermenegildo Zegna, complete with black shirt and grey tie. Unfortunately, Scott's band-mates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood were unable to attend the ceremony, but their representative added, "They look forward to celebrating with both Hillary and Chris in the coming weeks". The wedding was another high point for Scott and the band, who scooped a slew of awards in 2011 on their back of their hugely successful third album Own the Night. The record, released through Capitol Nashville, topped the Billboard 200 chart selling more than 347,000 copies in its first week of release. It also topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and ultimately became one of the most successful country albums of the year.
The band could have even more to celebrate in the coming months, after Own the Night was nominated for Best Country Album at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. The ceremony is set to be held on February 12, 2012 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will see Lady Antebellum go up against Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift and JASON ALDEAN.
