Holly Willoughby, the 31-year-old presenter of This Morning, is set to front a special episode of 'Surprise, Surprise', the classic Itv show made famous by Cilla Black. Willoughby will front the one-off edition of the programme, which seeks to make dreams of a lifetime come true, reports the UK's Daily Mirror.
An hour long special will feature the usual touching surprises and family reunions, as Holly attempts to make the impossible, possible. The presenter said, "What an incredible honour to be asked to present this Surprise Surprise special for Itv1.I can't wait to get out there delivering new surprises to the nation". The show originally ran as part of Itv's Saturday light entertainment schedule for fourteen series between 1984 and 1997. Presented by Liverpool legend Cilla Black, she was assisted for several years by Bob Carolgees and his famous glove puppet Spit the Dog. Executive Producer and Creative Director, Michael Kelpie said: "Surprise Surprise is one of those iconic Itv shows that I remember watching with my family growing up and the chance of bringing it back is a dream come true."
