Soccer player Hope Solo was anything but a gracious loser after being kicked off Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday (November 14, 2011), reportedly breaking down in tears and refusing to do backstage interviews, according to the US Weekly magazine.
Onlookers claimed Solo had a series of outbursts after getting the boot and agreed to speak to only one journalist. Her negativity was first apparent earlier in the show, when a recap clip of Monday's dances was shown - Hope was clearly unhappy with her score and said the judges should kiss her "booty". Her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy had also criticised judge Carrie Ann Inaba on Monday's show in what was the latest row between the pair. She was eventually beaten to a place in the semi-finals by war veteran turned soap star JR Martinez, whose superior score was enough to save him despite a worrying injury. Solo had recorded the lowest score going into the results show, scoring a combined 45 points, while reality star Rob Kardashian and talk show host Ricki Lake stormed in front with a series of exquisite routines.
It's the second time this year that Hope has come close to a major prize - she was the goalkeeper in the United States team defeated by Japan at the women's soccer World Cup Final earlier this year.
