Shock jock Howard Stern showed off his soft side on Monday (21May12) after breaking a young wannabe's heart during TV talent show America's Got Talent.
The new judge was not impressed with seven-year-old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania rapper Mir Money's audition and buzzed him off - and as he explained his decision, the little boy started to cry.
Stunned Stern was booed by the crowd and hit the stage, insisting, "I'll fix everything".
He gave the little guy a hug, telling the kid, "I'm so sorry... You're a terrific young man. You are so brave. This job is too rough for me. I don't really want to do it anymore... I don't want to make you cry. I've met many great rappers... (and) none of them are quite as great as you."
As show host Nick Cannon carried Mir Money offstage, Stern turned to the audience and said, "I'm not cut out for this, man. I'm not cut out for it. I'm shaking, man. I'm shaking... I can't do it. Radio is for me. I made a mistake. This is not for me."
Stern joined the show last week beg (14May12) as former judge Piers Morgan's replacement.
