Hugh Hefner, the 85-year-old Playboy founder, has selected his new "best girl" just days after Crystal Harris pulled out of their wedding at the last minute. Hugh Hefner appears to have wasted no time in moving on from his runaway bride, introducing Twitter followers to his new girl.
Hefner revealed his affections for model and aspiring actress Anna Sophia Berglund, telling his digital followers, "With Crystal gone, Anna is my best girl. Anna is really one in a million". Controversially, Hefner later noted, "She's also Crystal's good friend". Berglund is no stranger to the Playboy mansion, having featured as the magazine's playmate of the month for January 2011. She also made appearances on reality shows 'The Girls Next Door' and 'Holly's World'. A slim blonde with a tanned complexion, Berglund received a degree in theatre from the University of California in 2008. She made a cameo appearance on 'Desperate Housewives' in 2007 and teamed up with Miley Cyrus for a brief stint in 'Hannah Montana' in 2008. Hefner's former fiance Crystal Harris has already reacted to news of a potential romance, playing down the relationship on her Twitter page. When asked by a follower whether the pair were officially an item, Harris replied, "Nope! She's just over there regulating making sure Hef ends up w a good girl".
Hugh Hefner recently announced the planned Lifetime TV special documenting his wedding to Harris will now air in July with a "runaway bride" theme".
