Hugh Jackman hates impostors using his identity online because pranksters have already succeeded in fooling many of his friends.
The Australian actor is a member of social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, but he only signed up in a bid to foil unscrupulous users who have been mimicking his name online.
He tells Britain's The Sun, "There are 360 fake Hugh Jackmans on Facebook. My friends think they are conversing with me but they're not. The idea of people pretending to be me and others believing it is me is frightening. I want to encourage the impersonators to have a life."
