Ice Cube's representative has confirmed reports the rapper/actor is set to revamp the Friday film franchise.
The cult 1995 film about two street-smart slackers spawned two sequels and helped spark Ice Cube's career as a movie mogul.
Reports emerged recently claiming the rap star is in talks to write, produce and appear in a follow-up to 2002's Friday After Next, and now a spokesperson for the star's company, Cube Vision Productions, has confirmed the gossip is true.
The rep tells Tmz.com, "Absolutely yes the studio is in the process of getting the entire original cast to do another 'Friday.' (Ice Cube) is very excited about this and has every intention to make it happen."
