Iggy Azalea doesn't think it's an artist's responsibility to be a role model.

The 23-year-old singer wants to see people have a good time at her shows and doesn't think she should be preaching to her fans as to how to lead a prosperous life, as that isn't her job.

She told The Huffington Post UK: ''Not every artist is a role model. I'm not f***ing driving around giving inspirational speeches about why you shouldn't smoke cigarettes - that's not what I wanted to do with my life.

''There are people who's job and life mission is to do that. But mine is to be a great entertainer, and to do that you have to be entertaining.''

The blonde beauty understands her position as a star allows her to influence fans, but doesn't think wearing revealing outfits on stage will create ''monsters''.

Iggy explained: ''There's an obligation to not lead people down the wrong path, but I hardly think me wearing short shorts on stage is creating monsters.''

The star performed at a launch party for her latest single, 'Change Your Life', in London yesterday (14.10.13).
