Into The Wild star Emile Hirsch has signed to star in a new movie about the legendary Woodstock music festival.
As the fabled 1969 peace and love event prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Hirsch has joined Imelda Staunton and Eugene Levy in Taking Woodstock.
The film, based on the memoir of Elliott Tiber, is expected to be released in 2009.
Tiber's upstate New York motel was used as a base for Woodstock festival organisers.
