Iron Maiden star Steve Harris has dropped the asking price on his mansion in Essex, England by almost $1.5 million (£1 million) to sell the property.

The bassist originally put his sprawling Sheering Hall estate on the market in 2012 for $10.1 million (£6.7 million), and then dropped the price by $1.3 million (£900,000) in 2013.

Harris has slashed the price again and the eight-bedroom mansion is now up for sale at $7.4 million (£4.9 million).

The historic country house, which dates back to medieval times, features a "fully-equipped pub", media room, editing studio, indoor heated swimming pool, gym and a separate three-bedroom coach house.
