Recovering alcoholic TV star Jack Osbourne blames America's strict drinking laws for making liquor more appealing to impressionable teenagers.

The 18-year-old son of rocker Ozzy had to check into rehabilitation earlier this year (03) after suffering from alcohol and drug addictions, and can't understand why the US drinking laws prohibit under 21s from buying alcohol.

He fumes, "It's so uptight and it doesn't work. So kids just drink anyway when they're 16 and 17, and then they're breaking the law and so the crime rate goes up.

"What the f*** is the sense in that?"
