Jack Reynor wants to work with Michael Fassbender.
The 'Transformers 4' newcomer has high hopes of teaming up with the 'Shame' star in the future after meeting his fellow Irish actor, who he described as one of his ultimate ''heroes''.
He told BANG Showbiz at the London Evening Standard British Film Awards last night (04.02.13): ''I'd love to do a film with Michael Fassbender. He's one of my heroes. I think he's absolutely amazing and I would love to do a project with him.
''He's actually working with the director of my last film, Lenny Abrahamson, on a film called 'Frank' at the moment and it's going to be amazing! I've got a huge amount of respect for Michael. I've met him before, really great guy. Really lovely Irish dude!''
The up-and-coming actor also revealed landing the lead in Michael Bay's robot adventure 'Transformers 4' was a big thrill because the franchise taps into his boyhood fantasies.
Jack explained: ''I'm nervous about it and I'm really excited. I haven't been in touch with [co-star] Mark Wahlberg yet, but I think its going to be a lot of fun.
''I was a big fan of it before - I mean, what young guy doesn't like watching things being blown up and really good looking girls and cars racing round the place?''
However, the 21-year-old actor admitted he can longer enjoy nights out in Dublin like he used to because his newfound fame has earned him an army of female fans.
Jack said: ''It can be funny if I go into McDonalds on O'Connell street at 3'oclock in the morning, it's a little different to what it was! I guess it can be tough, but if you love doing this as much as I do it's a small price to pay.''
The 40th Evening Standard British Film Awards were held in association with the London Film Museum, supported by Chopard and Moet & Chandon.
