Jack White - Jack White Performs Secret Show In Medical Theatre Stunt
Jack White rocked out in the basement of a disused office block on Wednesday (02Jul14) in front of an audience dressed in surgical gowns as part of a secret London theatre stunt.
The former White Stripes frontman joined forces with members of the Punchdrunk immersive theatre company to put on the unique underground show.
The venue had been temporarily transformed into the Vescovo & Co. Clinic for contagious diseases and featured actors posing as doctors, nurses and orderlies dealing with a disease outbreak, while White also donned a white doctor's coat, complete with a name tag.
Fans, who had entered online for the chance to land an "out-of-hours appointment" at the Vescovo Clinic, were asked to wear blue scrubs upon arrival and then taken through various "treatment rooms" and given "tests".
Small bottles of whisky were also passed out as medicine for a "contagious disease", before White and his band appeared and performed a 30-minute set.
The rocker pretended to fall to his knees and collapse at the end of the gig, and was promptly strapped into a hospital bed and whisked away.
