Jada Pinkett Smith was ''blessed'' to spend Christmas with Will Smith and their children.

The 'Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted' actress, who has a 15-year-old son, Jaden, and 13-year-old daughter, Willow, with her husband of 16 years, admitted she felt particularly lucky to be spending the holidays with them after one of Will's good friends died suddenly on Christmas Eve.

The 42-year-old star wrote on Facebook on Tuesday (24.12.13): ''My husband lost a friend today. It hit me how often I forget that nothing lasts forever, especially life. Today, I am blessed to be surrounded by the love of my family and friends, and I have been reminded not to take that for granted.''

She added: ''Honour and cherish what and who you love because nothing is immune from impermanence. Love.''

Jada's declaration of love for Will came shortly after his 'Focus' co-star, Margot Robbie, denied rumours they were having an affair after photographs emerged of them looking cosy together in a photo booth in New Orleans, Louisiana, in October, amid reports he and Jada were undergoing a trial separation.

The 23-year-old actress insisted on Twitter last month: ''It's disappointing that goofing around on set could be taken so out of context.''

Earlier this year Jada insisted it would take a lot for her to ''abandon'' her husband.

She said: ''What is the thing that Will could do to make me not love him? That would make me abandon him? I can't think of one. I'm sorry. Except if he did something bad to the kids -- now we've got a problem.''
