British singer Jake Bugg has urged bosses of his favourite soccer club to give him a place on the team after One Direction star Louis Tomlinson made his debut for a U.K. side.

Keen soccer fan Tomlinson was given a non-contract position with Doncaster Rovers and he made his debut with the club's reserve team last team (Feb14).

Bugg is a devoted supported of another British side Notts County, and he has urged club executives to let him follow in Tomlinson's footsteps by hiring him for the team.

Speaking to Ian Wright on the Absolute Radio Rock 'N' Roll Football show, Bugg says, "I think they (Notts County) should just bang me in the team. I'm a striker. They've got now't (nothing) to lose have they? They're bottom of (the) league at the moment and it might boost morale - that's what I'd be doing. My grandad supported County and County are the oldest professional team."
