James Bond film-makers axed the gadgets from the new 007 movie because audiences had tired of cliched special effects and unrealistic plots. Instead, the superspy - played by DANIEL CRAIG - will be forced to rely on force to overcome bad guys in Casino Royale, which is due for release later this year (05). Second-time Bond director MARTIN CAMPBELL says, "Even after GOLDENEYE I remember thinking, 'How many control rooms, how many madmen can take over the world?'" Co-producer Barbara Broccoli adds, "If you don't grow and change, you die and we felt this was the right time, right story and Daniel was the right guy."
