James Bond stars Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench have been voted Britain's favourite film stars in a new poll.

Craig, who this year (12) enjoyed his third outing as the British superspy in Skyfall, garnered 26 per cent of the vote, winning him the title of the U.K's favourite male actor.

His co-star Dench, who has played Bond's boss M for the past seven films, was named favourite female after picking up 27 per cent of the vote.

Frequent co-stars Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter both came second in the male and female polls for Sky Movies, with 11.5 per cent and 10 per cent of the votes respectively.

Men in Black star Will Smith gained third place in the men's list, ahead of The Dark Knight's Christian Bale and Iron Man actor Robert Downey, Jr. in fourth and fifth places respectively.

On the female list, Charlie's Angels star Cameron Diaz tied for third place with Black Swan beauty Mila Kunis, ahead of Anne Hathaway.
