Skyfall, the latest James Bond film -- it's the 23rd -- had its world premiere in London on Tuesday. The red-carpet affair at the Odeon Leicester Square theater was attended by a slew of British film stars as well as Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. It was also a birthday Celebration of sorts. The first Bond movie was released 50 years ago. British film critics were elated with the latest film (something that could not have been said about the previous one, Quantum of Solace). This is probably the coolest 007 movie yet, remarked Grant Rollings in the Sun. This film is stylish, witty and a class above the competition, he added. Baz Bamigboye in the Daily Mail called it pure classic 007 fare ... a landmark, classic James Bond picture. David Edwards in the Mirror awarded it five stars, remarking, Skyfall doesn't just exceed expectations but shatters them like a bullet to the head. And Robbie Collin in the Telegraph described it as often dazzling, always audacious and predicted it will become a stratospheric hit.
