British comedian James Corden has found an unlikely pal in Vogue editor Anna Wintour and often turns to his friend for red carpet fashion advice.
The actor began his career on TV in his native U.K., but he has since found international fame on Broadway stage in the hit production of One Man, Two Guvnors, and Wintour admits she is a big fan of the funnyman.
She has helped to organise various events in his honour in recent months and she is proud of the Tony Award winner for taking control of his life and taking his career to new heights.
Wintour tells the New York Times, "James is very open that when he first became so successful, he had his wild time. Now I feel he's completely quieted down, his life is under control, and he can't wait to get married. He's taking care of himself, lost all that weight and is totally in charge of his life."
Corden dropped 70 pounds (31.75 kilograms) from his bulky frame before taking on the lead role in One Man, Two Guvnors, which became a hit in London's West End before transferring to New York earlier this year (12).
