James Franco has changed his approach to acting in recent years after realising his argumentative attitude made him "unpleasant" and "hard to get along with".
The Spider-Man star admits his intense work ethic often strained relationships on film sets and impacted on his performances.
But Franco is adamant he has changed his ways and even though he still works hard, he is much more amiable.
He tells The Advocate, "I used to approach acting with a very antagonistic (attitude). I was very hard to get along with and it made working in film very unpleasant. It also hurt my performances. Now I think about acting differently. I still work really hard, but for my own sanity - and everyone else's - I've had to surrender the results."
