Jamie Foxx - Susan Sarandon praises celebrity ping pong players
Susan Sarandon thinks Jamie Foxx, Prince and Edward Norton are among the best ping pong players she has seen at her SPiN clubs.
The 'Purple Rain' singer and the 'Ray' actor are both secret stars of the tabletop bat and ball game, according to Susan Sarandon, who is herself a big fan and behind the SPiN chain of table tennis 'social clubs' in the US.
She told People magazine: ''Jamie Foxx, Edward Norton and Prince are all very good. Even [euthanasia advocate] Dr. Jack Kevorkian! When he came to town after he got out of prison [in 2007, after an eight year sentence for his role in a case of voluntary euthanasia] he played all night.
''Some people get obsessed, but I never play to win. If I get competitive, I freeze.''
The 'Thelma & Louise' star finds ping pong the perfect game for her because it appeals to people of all ages and can be played by almost anyone.
She previously said: ''I love the game because it cuts across gender and age and body type, and you can play it until you die, unlike other sports that you have to abandon at a certain point.
''It's a great family game because little girls can beat their fathers. It's a great dating tool because, you know, rather than just sit and drink and be awkward, you can face each other and have music playing, so it's a pretty easy sell.''
