British rocker Jarvis Cocker has been hit with a $405 (£270) fine over a number plate blunder on his car.

The Pulp frontman is the proud owner of a U.S. model Chrysler vehicle, but his prized motor landed him in trouble with police in Derbyshire, England when they inspected it at a roadside in May this year (13).

Officers discovered the front and rear licence plates were not fitted in accordance with the law, and on Thursday (05Dec13), Cocker was fined $405 and ordered to pay court costs of $52 (£35).
