Miley Cyrus wore a revealing black dress and flashed her engagement ring at the 'Australians in Film' awards in Century City, California on Wednesday evening (June 27, 2012). The singer and actress attended with her husband-to-be Liam Hemsworth, reports the New York Daily News.
The happy couple were there to celebrate Hemsworth's burgeoning movie career, though it was Cyrus who stole the headlines, showing off her 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring, custom made by Neil Lane. At this year's awards show, Hemsworth was honored for his "significant contributions to the film and entertainment industry". The actor appeared in the blockbuster hit 'The Hunger Games', and will feature in the highly anticipated sequel next year. He's also signed on to star in 'Paranoia' as well as the all action flick 'The Expendables 2', with Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham. The awards evening was the first official event that Miley and Liam had attended together since announcing their engagement. According to People magazine, Cyrus was partying with her girlfriends at Beacher's Madhouse inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel last weekend. A source said, "Miley spent most of the night dancing", with one onlooker saying she strutted her stuff to Michael Jackson and Pitbull.
Cyrus is currently working on her new album, which is likely to drop before her wedding to Hemsworth.
