Jay Z is suffering a bout of writers' block since becoming a father.
The rapper became a first-time dad earlier this year (12) when his wife Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy, and he planned to start recording new music straight after the baby news to make the most of his happy mindset.
The hip-hop mogul released a track called Glory dedicated to his daughter just days after she arrived - but now he's shelved plans to record more tracks as fatherhood has robbed him of inspiration.
He tells MTV.com, "I thought I would be more inspired with all the new feelings and everything that I'd have to write about, but it really happened the other way. I just really wanna hang out with her. I just wanna enjoy those moments for a bit and I'm sure that feeling of music will come back to me."
