Rapper Jay Z is hoping to persuade a very special friend to perform at his new two-day festival in Philadelphia in September (12) - U.S. President Barack Obama.
The mogul will headline the opening night of the first annual Budweiser Made in America event over America's Labor Day weekend (01-02Sep12) - and he'll also be inviting other acts to join him.
The new dad admits there's one Al Green fan he'd love to get onstage.
Jay Z explains, "I'm gonna give him (Obama) a call and I'm gonna try to get him to perform - do a little rendition of Al Green - but I doubt it. I think that opens up the political season. He'll be so far into helping the world that he probably won't have time, but I'm absolutely going to ask him."
And Jay Z is also hoping to persuade his wife Beyonce to join him at the festival: "I tried to put it far enough away that she'd have a little gap in her schedule, so hopefully that works."
