Actress Jennifer Esposito has been forced out of her New York City apartment after the space became infested with dangerous mould.
The Crash star recently returned to the Big Apple to shoot U.S. TV series Blue Bloods after a short stint in Los Angeles and the beauty admits she's now living in a cramped one-bedroom place with her friend until she finds a new home
During an appearance on U.S. programme The Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday (26Oct11), she explained, "I just moved back (to New York). And I'm trying to find an apartment. I was in one, and it had a mould infestation. I kept telling the landlord, 'That's mould.' And I'm like getting headaches, my dogs are getting (sick). It was not good. I had to move.
"And my friend Ralph, who I've known for 20 years, took me in, in a one-bedroom apartment. He's about six (foot) five (inches)... I also have two big, giant, fluffy, 70 pound dogs. A Golden Retriever and a Bernese Mountain dog... (And I'm) sleeping on a pullout (couch)."
And although Esposito is grateful for a place to say, she confesses having a roommate has its drawbacks.
She added, "One day I came home and Frankie Beans, my Golden Retriever, is vomiting in the corner. And I'm like, 'Oh my god, what happened?' I rush him to the doctor. And the doctor was like, 'We took an X-ray and he's got a mass in his stomach.' I was hysterical, he's the love of my life. I went home and they called me and said, 'He swallowed, it seems, a very large sock.' It was my friend Ralph's 16 size foot sock in his belly!"
