Jennifer Garner broke down in tears during a TV interview this morning (18.03.15).

The 'Danny Collins' actress - who has children Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and Samuel, three, with husband Ben Affleck - became overwhelmed with emotion as she discussed her pride in taking part in a photoshoot for Southern Living magazine with her mother Patricia and sisters Melissa and Susannah.

Wiping away tears, she told 'Today' host Savannah Guthrie: ''There's nothing like sharing the spotlight with your sisters and your mom.

''It's always fun for me to get my sisters dolled up and my

mom.''

The 42-year-old star then laughed at her unexpected burst of emotion, claiming the programme's line of questioning was too ''tough'' for her.

Referencing earlier segments on the show, she said: ''I'm sorry! It's because of those babies and Leah. Still, I just can't take it. The 'Today' show is too tough for me!''

In her interview with Southern Living, Jennifer admitted all her sense of identity comes from being a ''Garner girl''.

She said: ''Being the middle sister of these three girls is the relationship that defines me more than anything else.

''More than being my kids' mother, more than being my husband's wife, I'm first and foremost the middle Garner girl.''

And the 'Alias' star joked she wanted to pose with her family to prove her features are all natural.

She said: ''We are doing this shoot so people can finally stop asking if my lips are real.

''What my mom did that I valued so much was to not place beauty high on the list of priorities. It was a shock when I got to college to hear people say I was pretty.''
