Jennifer Jason Leigh, the 48-year-old American actress, has filed for divorce from her film director husband Noah Baumbach, reports People Magazine. Leigh filed the papers at the Los Angeles Superior Court on November 15th 2010, seeking to end the couple's five-year marriage.
The actress, best known for her roles in 'Single White Female', and 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High', cited 'irreconcilable differences' in the divorce documents, and she is also seeking physical custody of the couple's 8-year-old son Rohmer. Leigh, real name JENNIFER MORROW, first met Baumbach in 2001 while the actress was starring in the Broadway production 'Proof'. They later married in Los Angeles, and Baumbach went on to write and direct the hit movie 'Squid and the Whale'. At the premiere of the film, the director said "I expect to be with Leigh for the rest of my life".
Recently, the couple collaborated on the indie-comedy 'Greenberg', which starred Ben Stiller.
