Jennifer Lawrence's life can be ''lonely''.

The 22-year-old actress - who previously dated British actor Nicholas Hoult - admits her career makes it hard to hold down a relationship, but she thinks the sacrifices she makes in her personal life are worth it for the sake of her career.

She said: ''There are sacrifices with any job. With this one, you're in a long-distance relationship with pretty much everybody in your life. It's hard sometimes, it's obviously a very lonely life but it's still worth it.''

The 'Hunger Games' star believes having good ''chemistry'' is key to successful relationships as being a ''great person'' isn't always enough.

She told more! magazine: ''It's all about chemistry. You can meet somebody and sparks fly immediately and you're attracted right away - that totally happens. Or you can meet another where yes, they're funny, nice and a great person, but you just don't have chemistry. And without that it just doesn't work.''
