Pneumonia stricken Jennifer Lawrence picked up the Best Actress in a Motion Picture gong at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (27.01.13).

The 22-year-old star braved the ceremony - where she was presented with the award for her role in 'Silver Linings Playbook' - despite her illness but admitted she had been ''highly contagious''.

Speaking on the red carpet, she said: ''Everyone is scared of me, I'm like, 'I'm fine'.

''I had walking pneumonia and it is highly contagious.''

Jennifer wasn't the only star to be struck down with illness. Tommy Lee Jones, who won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for 'Lincoln' was too sick to attend the ceremony.

'Lincoln' was one of the main winners on the night with Daniel Day Lewis taking home the Best Actor award.

Anne Hathaway followed up on her Golden Globes win with Best Supporting Actress for her role as Fantine in 'Les Miserables'.

Meanwhile, '30 Rock' tied for most awards with 'Lincoln', picking up the main comedy acting gongs for its stars Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey.

'Homeland's Claire Danes and 'Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston took home the acting awards for TV Drama while 'Downton Abbey' triumphed in the Outstanding Ensemble Cast, Television Series, Drama category.

There was some consolation for Ben Affleck after being snubbed for an Best Director Oscar nomination when his movie 'Argo' took home the Ensemble Cast, Motion Picture award.
