Jennifer Lopez's music video was interrupted by a gunshot on Sunday (05.05.13).

The 43-year-old singer feared for her life when she was whisked away to safety after a pistol was fired only 400 yards from the set of her new music video 'Live It Up'.

Jennifer was in the middle of being interviewed at Beach Park in Fort Lauderdale in Florida during the incident.

Journalist Rob Marciano, who was chatting to the star when the shots were fired, wrote on Twitter: ''BREAKING: Gunshots fired on Fort Lauderdale Beach DURING my JLo interview. No Kidding. Security scrambled her away. (sic)''

He later added: ''Can hear & see ambulances converging ~400 yards down the street. Police confirming: 'shots fired. No one hit' Whew (sic).''

DeAnna Greenlaw, a spokeswoman of the Fort Lauderdale police department, confirmed: ''At around 7:30 PM, police received a report that shots were fired in a parking lot near the northern end of the park located at 800 Seabreeze Boulevard''

The brunette beauty reportedly continued to film her new music video after the incident, which features Pitbull, but is still yet to comment on the incident.
