Jennifer Lopez has "laughed off" suggestions she suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the Oscars on Sunday (26 February, 2012). The star became a trending topic worldwide after she presented an award with Cameron Diaz in a daring dress that allegedly revealed more than she had intended.
Jennifer's stylist Rob Zangardi personally zipped the singer into her designer gown, and Tmz.com say, "Rob tells us... he and fellow stylist Mariel Haenn personally informed Lopez about the buzz surrounding her areola during the outfit change... and J.Lo simply laughed it off.Rob says... Lopez then assured the team she was so tightly packed into her dress, there was no possible way a nip could've slipped. Rob's convinced it was a shadow from the lighting". Co-stylist Mariel Haenn has also denied any wardrobe malfunction, telling MTV News that the sheer Zuhair Murad dress featured invisible built in cups, which kept everything in place. Following the wave of interest in the apparent malfunction, Lopez herself took to Twitter to play down the incident, saying, "All the Oscars talk is funny, but I've got plenty of other things to talk about".
Lopez and Diaz had presented the awards for Best Costume Design and Best Makeup, which went to The Artist and The Iron Lady respectively. The silent French movie was the big winner overall, claiming statuettes in the categories of Best Actor, Best Director and Best Picture.
